Long story short is Je suis a photographer and over 20 years did it the wrong way. J'ai 20-25 external disque durs which include about 8 internal drives slotted into 4 docking stations. J'ai fichiers on all dum but ne need them all all du time but Je veux determine what J'ai and maybe consolidate some du older less than 2TB drives onto a newer drive. I'd love to get a NAS of sorts but ne know where to start being I would want a lot of what J'ai to be copied over.
Ceci est my current ordinateur a Lenovo Legion T5 26IAB7, 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700 2.10 GHz avec 64 GB RAM avec Windows 11. When I connect a lot du drives to 3 powered J5 7-port UBS hubs and connect those to 3 of 5 3.0 USB inputs I get blue écran of death and a redémarrer is needed. When Je viens de connect them when the ordinateur is on, they are simply not recognized. I rescan disks in disk management but rien fonctionne.
Could it be the power supply sur le ordinateur? Only about 5 du drives are portable, the other are all plugged into electricity. My other problème, is all the drives and drive letters ont été disjointed from my Lightroom catalog; any input on comment reconfigure that serait helpful également.
I get all green checkmarks when I run my Lenovo système check and have the latest pilotes. J'ai premium support avec Lenovo but c'est encore hard to get them to makes sense of this.

As you suggest, consolidating some of those drives onto larger drives should help, and it également leaves the originals as backup, should some problème occur. Overall, you ne pas seem to have prepared badly -- having 20 years of work on two sets of drives is a *good* idea; you might put the old backups in a fire safe and/or at another location.
