All my To Do list disappeared
All my To Do list disappeared
I went on my To Do List and all the list that i created all gone. my "tasks" are still there. I checked my deleted items in outlook and they are not there either. I had a couple shared list with my wife and they disappeared from her phone too.

Microsoft To Do stores both tasks and lists in Exchange Online, and deleted items can be recovered through Outlook as long as they still exist in the mailbox.
Since the tasks are still visible but the lists have disappeared (including shared lists), the most likely scenario is that the lists themselves were deleted, not the individual tasks. In this case, the lists can be restored from Outlook's Deleted Items folder as folders, and then moved back to Tasks so they reappear as lists in To Do.
**Follow these steps on Outlook desktop using the same Microsoft account used in To Do:**
1. Open Outlook desktop.
2. In the folder list under Mail, select **Deleted Items**.
3. Look for deleted list folders (each To Do list corresponds to a folder).
4. For each list found:
- Right-click the folder.
- Select **Move** > **Other Folder** > **Tasks**.
5. After moving, open Microsoft To Do again; the lists should reappear with their tasks.
**If only individual tasks were deleted (not entire lists), they can be restored similarly:**
1. In Outlook desktop, go to **Deleted Items**.
2. Locate deleted tasks.
3. Right-click each task and choose **Move** > **Other Folder** > **Tasks**.
4. The tasks will reappear in their original lists in To Do.
Because the lists are shared with another person and disappeared for both, restoring them from Deleted Items in Outlook for the list owner's account is the key step. Once restored, the shared lists should re-sync to the other person's To Do app.
