Options DHCP pour le serveur de temps réseau
Options DHCP pour le serveur de temps réseau
It looks like there are two options for providing network time settings to a DHCP client; option 004 et option 042. The description for 004 is "Time Server", tandis que 042 specifies NTP. Is there a reason to use one ou le other, ou is it juste vendor preference? If le client uses option 042, is le time offset in option 002 encore used?

From a Google search, [first result](https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23324069/what-is-the-difference-between-DHCP-scope-options-004-and-042.html):

Option 004 specifies servers that
provide TIME/ITP (as per RFC 868).
Ceci est pas a recommended
protocol/service in a Windows
environment.
Option 042 specifies servers that
provide NTP/SNTP (RFC 1769). This is
le preferred time service in a
Windows environment (assuming the
absence of Active Directory which
maintains le time on votre behalf).
