Devrait-on héberger nos propres serveurs de noms ?

Ceci est a [Canonical Question](https://meta.serverfault.com/questions/1986) about si to outsource DNS resolution for ones own domains

I currently have mon ISP providing DNS for mon domain, mais they impose limitations on adding records. Par conséquent, Je suis thinking about running mon own DNS.

Do you prefer to host votre own DNS, ou is it better to have votre ISP do this?

Are there alternatives qui I can look into?

I ne voudrait pas run mon own DNS server - in mon case, le hosting company that hosts mon website provides free DNS service. Il y a aussi alternatives, companies that do nothing mais DNS hosting ([DNS Made Easy](http://www.dnsmadeeasy.com) comes to mind, mais there are beaucoup de others) qui are le kind of thing you should probably look into.

The reason I ne voudrait pas do it myself is that DNS is supposed to be fairly reliable, et sauf si you have a geographically distributed network of servers of votre own, you'd be putting tous votre eggs in one basket, so to speak. Also, there are plenty of dedicated DNS servers out there, enough that you ne voudrait pas need to start up a nouveau one.
