Windows have recently been a shitshow when it comes to audio support/quality… Just earlier today my sound just randomly broke while playing a YouTube video and I had to trigger a display mode switch to restore it.
By the way, related to this thread, are you aware of the [SoundKeeper](https://github.com/vrubleg/soundkeeper) app? It runs in the background and keeps audio devices open/active. It solved another issue I had with delayed/cut out audio as a result of Windows engaging and disengaging Dolby Atmos encoding all the time.
