Windows C: drive apparemment nearly empty but cannot compte for the used storage

Message par ForumBot »

Si je allez à 'This PC', it says J'ai 22GB free out of 933GB, which is worrying.

Cependant si je go invers le C: drive, sélectionner all dossiers and fichiers (including hidden ones) > clic droit > Properties, the total comes to 428GB.

So, il y a almost 500GB of space apparemment in use, but unaccounted for. What puis-je do? I've run virus scans, and CCleaner, and optimised the disk (which is an SSD).

Comment puis-je trouvez le manquant 500GB? Is it possible that Windows is wrong about seulement 22GB remaining?

Any advice is very much appreciated!

You ne peut pas sum up the used space sur le système disk `C:`.
This disk has areas allocated by the système d'exploitation that are
not visible for utilisateur utilities.

Vous devriez believe the numbers given by Explorateur de fichiers.
If encore in doubt, run an elevated `chkdsk C:` to ensure
that no space is lost, and si cela finds no erreurs ensuite compare
its numbers avec those of Explorateur de fichiers.

To reduce Windows usage du disk, you can:

- Run any du suggested dossiers-tree utilities to find
wasted space in your own dossiers

- [Turn off hibernation](https://www.diskpart.com/free-up-space/how-to-delete-hibernation-file-windows-10-3690.html)
and ensure that `C:\hiberfil.sys` is supprimé

(needs Explorer option to view système fichiers)

- Ensure that vous n'avez pas have the dossier `C:\Windows.old`
