My ordinateur tried to installez le [Feature update](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/windows11-release-information) "24H2".

Its space-saving suggestions n'a pas help, so I temporarily désactivé the [pagefile.sys](https://www.howtogeek.com/126430/what-is-the-windows-page-file/) and [hiberfil.sys](https://www.howtogeek.com/885071/how-to-disable-hibernation-and-remove-hiberfil-sys-in-windows-11/) fichiers. Je pense I had to redémarrer également, to free up the space from pagefile.sys. This left over 10GB free.
Windows également said it needed to use my USB stick (`F:`), as a temporary space.

Vérifiez le erreur code. For code 0x80070052, Google says the erreur text is "The répertoire or fichier cannot be créé".

Traditionally, we exécutez le [Windows Update Troubleshooter](https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/windows-update-troubleshooter-19bc41ca-ad72-ae67-af3c-89ce169755dd). Either way, it n'a pas convince me it had found anything, and it n'a pas solve the problème.
A checklist advised me to look at `setuperr.log`, in `$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\`. That dossier is hidden, but can be opened in Fichier Manager using the location bar. I copied `setuperr.log` to my Documents dossier, and opened it. It included:

Depuis this was an erreur avec the `F:` partition [sic] sur mon USB stick, I reformatted `F:` (which deletes tout on it). J'ai utilisé NTFS format. Je pense it was previously in FAT32 format. J'étais a bit suspicious about that at the time, due to [reports of 0x80070052](https://old.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/45du3k/new_portable_hdd_wont_fill_its_capacity_getting/) and specifically the maximum fichier size of 4GB on FAT32. That is seulement a guess, cependant.
