J'ai three réseau drives (`S:`, `U:` and `Z:`) mapped to a Synology NAS. They are all online and read/write accessible.
**Sans l'installation additional logiciel or making the fichiers disponible offline, how puis-je get Windows 10 to add the contents vers le search index (sans making the fichiers disponible offline) so that searching them is fast?**
## Things I've tried
- "*Allow fichiers on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to
fichier properties*" is déjà checked for all three ([source](https://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-10/add-network-folder-to-windows-search-index/)).
- Indexing Options ne have `S:`, `U:` or `Z:` listed. Si je sélectionner
"*Modify*" ensuite Je peux seulement add `C:`. Even si je sélectionner "*Show all
locations*" ensuite I'm encore seulement shown `C:`.
- Deleting and rebuilding the index made no difference.
- Running the troubleshooter and selecting "*Files, dossiers, apps or paramètres ne appear in results*" just restarts the Windows Search app.
- Several other solutions that reference boutons, écrans or options that seulement exist in previous versions of Windows

Windows ne support indexing réseau shares.
Vous pouvez encore search them, but c'est done in real-time sans indexing,
so may be quite lent.
Vous pouvez activer Offline Files for a réseau dossier by clic droiting it
and selecting "Toujours disponible offline".
Cela va basically copy the dossier to your ordinateur.
To make it searchable, vous allez need to add "Offline Files"
to Indexing Options.

The correct way to do that is to store the fichiers on Windows Server
avec the "Windows Search Service" role installé.
The server will index its shared dossiers, and the Windows client can
ensuite use this index.
