Windows VM avec seamless windows?

I work in business environment avec the following setup:

  • Our PCs are added to a work compte (and being managed)

  • We are allowed to keep admin access vers le machine

J’ai un client avec strong sécurité. What that means, if vous n’avez pas have a machine managed by THEIR work compte, you cannot add their email address to your Outlook, you cannot télécharger stuff depuis leir Sharepoint, you cannot even open for editing anything in Word/Excel/Powerpoint, and so on … which effectively reduces our efficiency a lot.

Créez un VM using any logiciel, ensuite connect to it via Remote Desktop in RemoteApp mode (which is the seamless “we have Citrix at home” mode that RDP has). The VM itself can remain ‘headless’, so Hyper-V would work fine.

Although officially RemoteApp needs a Server edition and the full RDS Host role setup, vous pouvez en fait use RemoteApp Tool to activer it on any Windows Pro machine (ainsi que on Server si vous just ne want to mess around avec server roles).

Vous allez need to créer .rdp fichiers for individual apps, but it devrait être enough to have one for Firefox or Windows Explorer; it can ensuite start other apps sur le same connection.
