Surface book 1 problem, pls help.
Press the windows key as noted to go into uefi.
Boot configuration. Turn off secure boot. Make sure boot from usb devices is on.
Boot order.
Make sure usb is top of list.
When you boot from the surface recovery usb drive, it’ll usually ask (from memory) to press a key if you want to boot it (otherwise, it’ll try to boot the broken windows).
When the surface recovery boots, let it wipe the entire drive and install fresh windows.
