Before we panic it might be a driver issue. Go on Microsoft’s website and get the surface diagnostic tool kit. I recall there being a section in there about unplugging it and plugging it back in. That is if it lets you charge enough to use the tool kit. Worst comes to worst just call Microsoft. I know it sucks to have to spend an hour on the phone but I’ve had success with their techs in the past
