Fresh installered Windows XP refuses vers mise à jour

today J’ai installé Windows XP SP2 Home on a ordinateur. I went to try to run Windows Mise à jour on it and was greeted avec “The website has encountered a problème and cannot display the page you are trying to view – erreur number 0x8024400A”

I’ve encountered this kind of problème a lot of times. I remember when I a fonctionné at a ordinateur repair shop 6 or so years ago I encountered it on a lot of ordinateurs running Windows XP. I jamais figured out comment fix it other than to do a reinstall of Windows. Googling for the erreur number jamais came up avec any solutions either.

Qu’est-ce que it that causes this problème and how do I fix it?

Well, maintenant J’ai installé windowsupdateagent30-x86 and that got me to where Je peux maintenant browse a list of needed mises à jour, but when I allez à installer mises à jour I get the same generic erreur message, but avec erreur number 0x80070715

Microsoft support has a KB related to this erreur KB836941 J’ai également seen this erreur and even avec no changes, the mises à jour work at a later time. As @ahmed notes, it pourrait être a good idea to mise à jour to IE 8 directly first and ensuite try Windows Mise à jour again.
