Disabling windows mise à jours for windows 10

Starting avec windows 8 J’ai many many many matériel problèmes (that ne sont pas present in Windows 7). One duse problèmes is the fact that an initiated redémarrer ne work. It shuts down, the bios shows up, loads, ensuite the windows boot loader begins loading and suddenly the progress ring halts and rien happens anymore (J’ai tested it for several hours). While c’est not really a problème usually (If a service attempts to initiate a redémarrer Je viens de pull the power après saving tout) avec windows 10 it became a problème. A while ago obviously a nouveau build was released and it tried to installer said build. Ceci est done using an initiated redémarrer. The redémarrer happens, it hangs dans le boot loader and when I redéfinissez le machine I get the usual “Your windows a été reverted to an earlier version” message. So far so good. The problème is that depuis ensuite every day this happens. It randomly asks me if Je veux apply the mise à jour maintenant, I obviously dont want it to, and réglez-le sur remind me again in 8 hours. I dont know what insane person had the idea that a forced shutdown that kills every living thing sur votre ordinateur was the appropriate action for quelque chose as utterly unimportant as an mise à jour but sadly après these 8 hours it does exactly that.

Après loosing a several gb télécharger and a very long compilation a été corrupted I’m maintenant ready to do tout to stop this madness. I first tried it the nice way and checked the mise à jour paramètres. Windows responds witht he following:

Next J’ai essayé de forcefully kill the entire mise à jour service. Il semble que it a fonctionné for regular mises à jour, but the preview build mise à jour is quelque chose that n’est pas covered by that. When I go vers le paramètres for nouveau build installations all Je suis able to change is the time nouveau builds devrait être installé (if disponible). Existe-t-il un moyen de completely désactiver that?

So to summarize: Existe-t-il un moyen de prevent windows from performing any action if il y a mises à jour? Or désactiver mises à jour completely? Making tout manual? In the end the mises à jour have destroyed more sur mon ordinateur than they have prevented.

Appuyez sur ‘WIN KEY + R’ and tapez in gpedit.msc to start the programme, see this link if your version lacks the utility.

The Configurer Automatic Mises à jour setting can be found at Configuration ordinateur → Modèles d’administration → Windows Components → Windows Mise à jour > Configurer Automatic Mises à jour

Changez le Stratégie de groupe setting to Allow local admin to choose setting:

The configuration Never check for updates is manquant. Apparently si vous choose Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them, Windows will get sur votre nerves avec mise à jour messages during your tests, though Je n’ai pas experienced them myself.

Maintenant, si vous want to COMPLETELY désactiver Windows Mise à jour, ensuite vous pouvez do it using the Registry. I ne recommend doing this depuis the point of using Win10 is to provide feedback to Microsoft, and if vous n’avez pas have the latest mises à jour vous allez just end up reporting corrigé bugs, not to mentisur le sécurité problèmes too.

Allez à HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\AUOptions

Si vous set AUOptions to “1”, Windows 10 will jamais check for mises à jour. Notez que this will seulement work si vous keep the par défaut configuration du above-mentioned Stratégie de groupe setting.
