J'étais using Ubuntu avant I decided to switch to Windows 11, so I'm nouveau to it. Récemment J'ai installé a VPN app, but later I decided that Je ne veux pas it, hence I clicked désinstaller. All Windows did is execute désinstaller.exe under the programme fichier dossier of that app, and that app basically supprimé itself.
Later on that day J'ai trouvé that the app n'était pas supprimé completely, which was indicated by the DNS server keeping changing back to some weird IP address (which was part du job of that VPN app, and I'm pretty sure of it).
So y a-t-il un proper way of uninstalling an APP on Windows 11 or is the seulement proper way to let the app désinstaller itself?
I'm very concerned and frustrated parce que I realized that letting the APP désinstaller itself could cause potential danger, par exemple malware could leave dangerous items behind intentionally. Également for a long period of time, there pourrait être a substantial amount of apps that were uncleanly uninstalled that could build up heavy burden vers le système (if il y a a thousand apps not fully uninstalled, each one dum could leave some unwanted actions/processes which would eventually dradans le système's resources across the year and the système would become very "lent").
Is my theory correct (if so, does this happen to other OSes également, such as MacOS?); y a-t-il un way better/correct way for uninstallation?
