Lost accès to Azure Authenticator App

<t>I have my personal outlook email id as Azure Login id, and since when Azure made 2FA compulsory, I setup the Authenticator App in my phone. (Remember I already had account setup with Microsoft Authenticator for my outlook id, now a new account setup for the Azure account in the Authenticator app) and I have lost access to that app now. However, I somehow got my outlook account authenticator app working in my new phone, but not having Azure account in it. 
 
Now whenever I try to sign in to portal.azure.com it asks for the verification code, no other option. 
 
What to do? 
 
Additional context: The user is the only Global Administrator for their personal Azure account (personal learning purpose).</t>

Solution for Single Global Administrator (Your Situation)

Since you are the only Global Administrator and this is the only admin account, this is a tenant recovery case:

Contact Microsoft Support via the Microsoft 365/Azure support channel (phone or web) using any account that can open a support request for the tenant (for example, the billing or original signup account).
Clearly state: 
- The only Global Administrator is locked out due to lost Microsoft Authenticator 
- No other MFA methods are configured
What Microsoft will do: 
- The case will be escalated to the Data Protection / Tenant Recovery team 
- They will verify tenant ownership (using contact details, billing, domain, etc.) 
- They will reset MFA on your admin account so you can register a new Authenticator and configure additional methods 
 
 After Access is Restored 
 
 Once you regain access, add multiple MFA methods to prevent this situation in the future:
Microsoft Authenticator
Phone number (SMS)
Email verification
Security key
