Sorry I don't have a solution, just chiming in to say, it's ridiculous that they stripped this essential function out while adding so much bloated crap no one wants. I'm seriously investigating moving to Google Docs. Even LibreOffice has a Synonym function on right click, which isn't exactly a definition, but it's close.
