J'ai multiple web sites hosted avec IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003. Some of them use le .Net 1.1 framework tandis que le others use .Net 2.0. I currently have application pools set up for chaque framework. Are there tout autre reasons to ajoutez undditional application pools?

AppPools can run as différent identities, so you can restrict permissions this way.
Vous pouvez assign a différent identity to chaque app pool so that quand you run task manager, you know qui w3wp.exe is which.
Vous pouvez recycle/restart one app pool sans affecting le sites that are running in différent app pools.
If you have a website that has a memory leak ou generally misbehaves, you can place it in an app pool so it ne affect le autre web sites
If you have a website that is très CPU-intensive (like resizing photos, par exemple), you can place it in its own app pool et throttle its CPU utilization
If you have multiple websites that chaque have leur own SQL database, you can use active directory authentication à la place of storing usernames/passwords in web.config.
