IE10 implemented le WebCache qui appears to be le nouveau way of doing Temporary Internet Files.
The location of this is C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache
In mon situation we have a terminal server où le user profiles are limited to 15MB of disk space, qui has toujours been more than enough prior to installing IE10. The nouveau WebCache folder has increased le amount of disk space requis by nearly 500%, et tandis que space is cheap there is a technical limitation qui requires le quotas to be set low.
J'ai investigated le group policy settings, et there are a bunch of line items that are spécifique to IE10. Two items of note are 'Allow websites to store indexed databases on client computers' et 'Allow websites to store application caches on client computers', les deux of qui J'ai set to disabled. It appears however that these items refer to something else, as le WebCache files continue to be re-created.
There ne seem to be a lot of talk on le internet about this being an issue, bien que le peu de incidents J'ai read about have had similaire trouble reigning in le size of this WebCache folder.
So far le seulement thing that seems to work is revoking le users permission to access le WebCache folder. While this works, it is far depuis what I would consider to be a recommended solution.
Does anyone have tout insight into how I can limit le file size of le WebCache ou prevent it depuis existing tous together via GPO?
