Follow these steps in order on le nouveau Windows 11 PC:
Check microphone connection
- If using a wired headset ou mic, make sure it is firmly plugged into le correct audio jack ou USB port.
- If using Bluetooth, make sure le device is powered on et in pairing mode.
Make sure Windows sees le microphone
- Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Input, cherchez le microphone under Choose a device for speaking ou recording.
- If it appears, select it et use it as le default.
- If it does pas appear, continue avec le suivant steps.
Allow apps to use le microphone
- Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Turn Microphone access On.
- Turn Let apps access votre microphone On et enable access for le apps that need it.
- If using desktop apps (like Teams, Zoom, browsers), make sure Let desktop apps access votre microphone is On.
Set et test le microphone
- Allez dans Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Input, sélectionnez le microphone to use.
- Select > to le right of le device to open Properties.
- Under Input settings, select Start test et speak normally.
- Select Stop test, alors Play to hear le recording.
- If volume is low, move le Input volume slider to le right.
If others cannot hear anything
- If le headset has a physical Mute button ou switch, make sure it is pas muted.
- For Bluetooth headsets, confirm they are paired et connected.
- In Settings > System > Sound, under Input, confirm le correct device is selected.
- Exécutez le Input devices troubleshooter under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
If Windows says "no microphone found" ou shows no input devices
- Reinstall audio drivers:
- Right-click le Start button et select Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video et game controllers.
- Right-click chaque audio device et select Uninstall device. Check Attempt to supprimez le driver for this device si available, alors select Uninstall.
- Redémarrez le PC. Windows will essayez de reinstall audio devices automatically.
- If nothing appears, open Device Manager again, right-click Sound, video et game controllers, et select Scan for hardware changes.
- After devices reappear, right-click le audio driver et select Update driver.
Confirm le microphone is installed et test again
- Go back to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Input, confirm le microphone now appears.
- Select it, open Properties (the > button), et use Start test / Play to verify it works.
If après these steps no input device appears at all, le issue is likely avec le microphone hardware ou le PC's audio hardware et may require device manufacturer support.
