Hopefully only the partition table got corrupted or deleted and the data was untouched.
Personally I would look in to TestDisk, I've had good success with it in the past for recovering a lost partition from a Linux install gone wrong.

Link to a guide on how to use it. It's not exactly the most user friendly tool, but in my experience it's good.
