<p><strong>NOTE :</strong> <em>Now available for everyone on Windows 20H2</em></p>
<p><a href="https://insider.windows.com/en-us/">Update on <strong>Virtual Desktop Renaming</strong> (Build 18975)</a>:</p>
<p>The ability to rename your Virtual Desktops is now <strong>available for all Insiders in the Fast ring!</strong>. To get started:</p>
<ul>

<p>Open Task View by selecting the Task View icon in the taskbar or pressing Win + Tab.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Select New Desktop.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Select the desktop name (“Desktop 1”) and it should become editable, or right click the desktop thumbnail and a context menu will appear with a Rename entry.</p>

<li>
<p>Input whatever name you’d like, and press enter.</p>
</li>
